6 places to use client video testimonials – with real results
Website, LinkedIn, proposals, sales calls, live events and referral partners. How Tommi’s clients put their videos to work, and what happened.

A testimonial video sitting in a folder does nothing. The value comes from putting it in front of prospects at the moment they’re deciding whether to trust you. Here are six places Tommi’s clients have used theirs – and what it did for them.
1. On your website
Pete Franklin runs a web and SEO agency. He put his videos on his website, and within two weeks traffic conversion rose by 40–60%. Just as useful: prospects asked fewer questions on sales calls, because the videos had already answered them.
Try it: put a testimonial next to every major call to action, not just on a “testimonials” page nobody visits.
2. On LinkedIn
Business coach David Lee posted one of his videos on LinkedIn. Thirty-six minutes later, a former prospect – someone who had enquired but never signed – reached out and booked a half-day workshop.
Try it: the 36 short social clips in a year-long package are made for exactly this. One clip a week keeps proof in front of your network without you having to blow your own trumpet.
3. In sales proposals
Chris Stephenson, a builder, adds video testimonials to his proposals. In his own words, the business grew 500–600% in a year, and the videos “certainly had a contributing factor to that”.
Try it: link the testimonial that matches the prospect’s situation right next to the price. That’s where doubt peaks.
4. On sales calls
Rory Mason’s marketing agency started using the videos on sales calls – and had people saying yes before they hung up. His conversion rate climbed from 20% to 60%.
Try it: when a prospect raises an objection, don’t argue. Share the video of a customer who had the same worry.
5. At live events and networking
Business coach Lee Tunney-Ware shows testimonial videos in live presentations and to referral partners. His time goes into conversations about next steps instead of proving himself.
Try it: next time you get a slot at a networking group, play a two-minute customer story instead of your usual pitch.
6. With referral partners
David Clark had always struggled to get people to understand what his firm does – let alone explain it to others. Now he hands his video to referrers so they can put him forward with confidence.
Try it: send your best partners a short clip they can forward. A referral that arrives with a video arrives warm.
Bonus: before it’s even finished
Eoin Oliver’s marketing and software business used a video before it had even been subtitled or branded – and won their two biggest ever deals from a client they’d been chasing for two years. Proof doesn’t need to be polished to work. It needs to be real.
